Advanced Sustainable Nutrient Management in New Zealand Agriculture is designed for advisors and professionals managing nutrients in the primary sector. Building on knowledge from the intermediate course, it covers recent research, nutrient budgeting, and the development of nutrient management plans tailored to meet farm production goals while minimising environmental impacts. The course uses the Overseer software for nutrient budgeting, features online tutorials, case studies (pastoral and arable), assignments, and concludes with a two-hour examination. Successful completion, along with the intermediate course, leads to a Certificate of Completion and is a prerequisite for the Nutrient Management Adviser Certification Programme.

Exemption possible with a grade of 70%+ in: Massey course 189362 Integrated Farm and Environmental Management; Lincoln University SOSC 340 Advanced Soil Management or SOSC 630 Soil Fertility and Management.
Possible exemption with demonstrable prior knowledge in sustainable agricultural practices and Overseer Nutrient Budgets software.
