This 10-week online course equips industry professionals with integrated knowledge and practical skills to produce base-level, industry-standard freshwater Farm Environment Plans (FEPs) for New Zealand farms. Developed with support from the Fertiliser Association of New Zealand, the course covers government policy contexts, physical and environmental mapping, landscape unit classification, soil erosion, nutrient and pathogen loss, and practical mitigation strategies. Participants will engage with virtual field trips and complete rigorously assessed activities, culminating in a desktop Farm Environment Plan report.

Utilise the Land Use Capability index and Land Resource Inventory for effective soil resource management.
Passed Massey University course 189362 Integrated Farm and Environmental Management or Lincoln University SOSC340 Advanced Soil Management (B grade or higher within past 3 years), OR
Demonstrated skills and experience in nutrient management and use of OverseerFM, including relevant academic transcript and employer verification.
