Graduates will be able to work in commercial kitchens, restaurants, and catering, gaining hands-on experience via workplace placements. The course is delivered full-time over one year or part-time over two years through an In Work Learning format that allows students to work while studying.

Complete industry-based experience and enterprise reporting, establishing professional networks and competence in a workplace context.
Demonstrate introductory cookery skills: NZ Certificate in Cookery (Level 3) or related Level 2/3 certificate, or demonstration of skills/knowledge via work experience
Applicants for whom English is not their first language: IELTS 5.5 (with speaking and listening bands no lower than 5.5, reading and writing no lower than 5.0), or other accepted proof of English fluency
