The Master of Food Technology (MFoodTech) at Massey University is an internationally recognised degree that equips students with advanced technical and research skills needed for the food industry. You will work with state-of-the-art facilities, engage in independent research on practical food industry issues, and access expertise in a range of food sectors. The programme focuses on real industry problems, product and process development, and innovation, and graduates are in demand for their ability to manage and develop food products and processes at a commercial scale.

Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, food science or food technology with a minimum B average at 200- and 300-levels or equivalent

Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
Manawatū campus, Palmerston North
It will take a total of 18 months

Utilise statistical models, hypothesis testing, data analysis, and critical assessment of scientific literature for food technology research.
