Demonstrate knowledge and application of essential food safety and health and safety protocols in a commercial kitchen.
The Foundation Certificate in Cookery & Bakery (Level 3) introduces students to core kitchen skills, food safety, and employment law to begin their culinary careers. Delivered over 18 or 22 weeks, the programme covers fundamental techniques in knife work, cooking vegetables, making stocks and sauces, baking and pastry, preparation of eggs, meats, fish and seafood, and team work in a professional kitchen. Graduates are well-prepared for junior chef roles or for further qualifications.
