The Certificate in Professional Wine Knowledge, Level 5, is an intensive programme delivered by the New Zealand School of Food & Wine — New Zealand's only authorised WSET® provider offering an NZQA Level 5 qualification in wine knowledge. This full-time qualification delivers both national and international credentials, including WSET Awards in Wine (Levels 2 and 3), plus spirits. Students engage with a comprehensive curriculum covering New Zealand and international wine styles, beverage production, customer service and sommelier skills, spirits and cocktails, plus business aspects of hospitality, tourism, and wine. Graduates are well-prepared for diverse career paths in hospitality and wine sectors, and gain a Licence Controller qualification for industry compliance.
