About This Course

This hands-on, one-year baking course empowers students to create a wide range of baked goods from scratch, including danishes, pastries, cakes, desserts, bread, savoury treats, and biscuits. Alongside practical baking, students learn organisation, customer service, teamwork, and food safety in an industry-equipped kitchen. The course culminates in production for campus events and is designed to support entry-level employment in New Zealand’s high-demand baking sector.
