The Introductory Chainsaw Skills course teaches you how to operate, maintain, and sharpen a chainsaw, as well as how to safely make cuts. You will attend a three-day practical workshop, complete a log book documenting practice, and are expected to study course material prior to the workshop. The course is designed for those needing chainsaw skills for home or non-commercial settings.
Entry Requirements
Be 16 years old
Have NCEA Level 1 with 10 credits in Numeracy and 10 credits in Literacy, or equivalent knowledge and skills
