The NZ Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Sustainable Horticulture) provides entry-level skills for those interested in the primary industries, with an emphasis on horticulture production. Students will learn the basics of gardening, seed germination, planting, vegetable garden management, and organic sustainable practices. The program covers caring for soil and plants, making natural fertilisers, and fundamental water management and gardening techniques, preparing graduates for a range of seasonal horticultural activities or further study.
