Implement and monitor a sustainable wine grape protection programme to achieve grape quality specifications.
This one-year, part-time Level 4 certificate is designed for both new and experienced vineyard workers wishing to step up to leadership or supervisory roles in winegrowing. The programme covers technical and practical aspects of grape growing, vineyard management, sustainable production, grape protection, and effective team leadership. It incorporates the NZ Certificate in Horticulture Production (Winegrowing strand), can be completed fully online or onsite, and requires access to a vineyard for practical tasks. Graduates gain skills needed to supervise winegrowing operations, implement sustainable horticultural practices, and support vineyard teams.
