Learn theoretical background and processes in winemaking, from preparation to post-fermentation management.

Participate in a vintage placement, applying knowledge and skills in a commercial setting.
This intensive programme prepares students for a career in the wine industry by delivering foundational knowledge in cellar operations, winemaking processes, and industry safety. Students experience a mix of classroom theory, practical work, and winery placements, developing practical skills and industry connections for immediate employment or further study.
What you need to know first
Applicants under 20 years of age: NCEA Level 1 required.
Applicants 20 years of age and over: no minimum academic requirements.
