About This Course
This short course at Otago Polytechnic teaches the essentials of commercial grapevine pruning for wine production. Delivered in the Central Otago Campus vineyard, students will learn vine pruning and training with a focus on balance, how to maintain pruning equipment, and key health and safety practices in a commercial vineyard environment. All materials and equipment are provided. Designed for those wishing to gain practical viticulture skills relevant to wine production.
