About This Course
This 20-week, part-time programme develops your skills in propagating, transplanting, and caring for commercial nursery crops. It blends practical nursery work with theoretical learning in Otago Polytechnic’s Cromwell campus nursery and modern glasshouses. The qualification covers techniques required for commercial nursery crop production and plant selection, supported by courses in plant science, communication, and plant care. Study is primarily hands-on, giving students valuable experience for work in the horticulture industry.
