The Applied Horticultural Services (Level 3) programme with a strand in Landscape Construction is a one-semester, full-time, practical course where students learn introductory skills for the landscape construction trade. The curriculum covers the use of building tools, creating landscape elements, basic planting, lawn laying, and maintenance. Students gain real-world experience by working on actual landscape projects and develop skills in setting out, woodworking, concreting, paving, drainage, plan reading, surveying, and health and safety. The programme prepares graduates for entry-level roles in landscape construction or further study in horticulture or landscape design.
