Complete 15 weeks of supervised clinical placement, gaining practical experience and confidence in healthcare settings.
This diploma develops the knowledge and skills required for students to provide quality healthcare assistance in aged care, disability, and community environments. The programme integrates Tikanga Māori principles into practice and includes 15 weeks of hands-on clinical placement. Graduates are equipped to work in roles supporting vulnerable populations in a variety of public and community health settings.
What you need to know first
Applicants must be 18 years of age at the start of the programme.
Recommended to hold one of: Certificate in Healthcare Level 3, or successful completion of NCEA Level 2 or 3, or equivalent qualification, or appropriate work experience in the healthcare sector.
