This micro-credential prepares experienced Kaiāwhina/support workers and health assistants, especially those working in community-based care, to carry out non-complex support plan reviews for older adults living in the community. It includes learning about risk and escalation procedures, using the interRAI assessment tool, and ensuring the process incorporates Māori values and perspectives. All assessment and learning are completed online, with interactive sessions and multimedia content.

Carry out support plan reviews in the homes of older people guided by Māori values and perspectives.
Reasonable computer literacy as assessments are only online
NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (any strand) and/or NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) Level 4 (any strand)
Unit Standard 23925 and either Unit Standard 26974 or Unit Standard 28563
Online study
