About This Course
This programme enables healthcare assistants to gain and demonstrate the essential skills required to provide person-centred care and support across diverse clinical settings including maternity, mental health, acute care, and outpatient clinics. The training is delivered in a flexible, work-based format, with learning and assessment contextualised for hospital and health sector environments. Trainees complete three integrated, open-book assessments, covering both core competencies and department-specific requirements. The qualification is aimed at people working or wishing to work as healthcare assistants within the health and hospital sectors.
