Practise midwifery that upholds the mauri o te wahine, is responsive to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and meets the needs of diverse whānau and communities.
NCEA Level 3: minimum of 18 credits in Biology, Chemistry or Physics; 16 credits in an English-rich subject; 16 credits in two other approved subjects
NCEA Level 2: 16 credits in Biology, 16 credits in Chemistry or Physics, 16 credits in another subject
Relevant Foundation or Health bridging qualification at Level 4 or above, or recognised equivalent
Special admission for applicants over 20 with evidence of academic equivalence
Proof of First Aid Certificate (NZQA 6401 and 6402 or equivalent)
Two written references (academic/professional)
Self-declaration regarding convictions and health
500-word statement outlining motivation and understanding of midwifery
Driver's license or reliable transport for placements
