It will take a total of 1 year

Acquire hands-on experience delivering massage in clinical and classroom settings supported by knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Learn and apply wellness promotion strategies, supporting clients to achieve holistic health and stress resilience.

This qualification provides advanced understanding in anatomy and physiology and teaches both theory and practical skills in relaxation and therapeutic massage. Students learn in supervised, hands-on environments, working with real clients in a massage clinic. The programme includes wellness promotion and stress management. Graduates will be equipped for employment in the spa industry or can progress to advanced study in health and rehabilitation massage.
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 2 with 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy credits OR a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 3 or above OR recognised equivalent.
Special admission for those over 20 who do not meet the above criteria.
