In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting

Participants will be able to assess and manage burns, shock, fractures, dislocation, bleeding, and soft tissue injuries.

Participants will perform correct CPR techniques and demonstrate them successfully on a mannequin.

Learners will show proficiency in placing individuals in the correct recovery position during an emergency.
This two-day First Aid and CPR short course delivers essential first aid and resuscitation skills in a relaxed, interactive environment led by experienced tutors. It covers both general first aid topics and detailed CPR techniques. The course is ideal for Unitec programme applicants who require a Level 2 first-aid certificate, other students, staff, and the wider community. Separate CPR-only sessions are available for those needing to renew just the CPR component. Participants must be 15 years or older and are awarded a certificate on successful completion and demonstration of practical skills.
