Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting

It will take a total of 20 weeks

Learners will gain a full understanding of the values and requirements necessary for NZ Police recruitment and career success.

Students will enhance essential job skills, including teamwork and effective communication, preparing them for law enforcement environments.

Participants will improve their physical fitness and personal wellbeing, targeting the standards required for police roles.
MSL Training offers tailored Police Preparation courses at Level 2 and Level 3, supporting aspiring police officers and those interested in law enforcement careers. The programmes boost confidence, enhance fitness, improve communication, and address job-readiness, specifically preparing you for the rigours of the NZ Police recruitment process. Courses are delivered at the Manukau campus with full-time and part-time options.
What you need to know first
Level 2: 16–24 years old, with no or low (Level 1) qualifications; NZ Citizen, Resident Class Visa or Refugee.
Level 3: Over 17 years old; NZ Citizen, Resident, or Permanent Resident; NZ Driver's Licence (Restricted or Full); NZ Police have specific recruitment criteria.
