The New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Academic) (Level 4) at NMIT is designed to prepare students for academic studies at Level 6 or 7 certificates, diplomas, and degrees. Students gain skills to write under test conditions, deliver presentations, understand spoken texts, craft academic texts using research, and read and process academic information in English. Intended to help improve IELTS scores and meet entry requirements for other NMIT programmes requiring IELTS 6 with no band lower than 5.5.
