It will take a total of 18 weeks

Learners will understand main points and key details in spoken English relevant to everyday situations.

Learners will be able to speak clearly to express personal ideas and engage in ongoing conversation.

Learners will read and understand a variety of texts on familiar topics and be able to scan and extract information to complete tasks.
The New Zealand Certificate in English Language (General) Level 3 develops core English language skills, enabling graduates to understand main points and key details in spoken English in familiar contexts, speak clearly about personal ideas, read and comprehend a range of texts, and write clearly with reasonable accuracy. The programme promotes learner independence through online and project-based learning, fostering transferable skills such as computer skills, time management, and teamwork. It is offered over 16 teaching weeks plus a 2-week study break and comprises 60 credits. Completion supports career opportunities requiring interpersonal communication and entry to further Level 3 certificate courses.
