About This Course
Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Reo Rua) (Level 2) is designed for absolute beginners keen to learn basic te reo Māori language skills. The course is offered mainly through evening classes for part-time study and day classes for full-time study, with blended online and face-to-face delivery. After completing this programme, graduates will be able to support and promote te reo Māori usage in their communities and within cultural settings. The qualification provides a pathway to Level 3 and 4 Māori language programmes.

- Te Take - Whakawhiti Whakaaro: Foundation Idea Exchange
- Te Take - Ngā Mahi o ia Rā: Engaging in Routine Tasks
- Te Take - Te Reo Hāpori: Engaging in Familiar Social Encounters
- Online learning combined with on-campus tutorials
- Wananga (learning forums): Friday evening and Saturday per topic
