Increase global awareness and cultural insight through the study of language as it relates to literature, history, and society.
The Certificate in Languages (CertLang) enables you to study one or two foreign languages, broadening your horizons and skill set in a flexible, part-time programme. You can enrol as a stand-alone student or take it alongside any degree. Available to both beginners and those with language experience, CertLang enhances your cultural understanding and global awareness, and can complement interests in a range of fields such as art history, literature, history, film, music, international relations, politics, linguistics, and international business. The programme includes four courses (60 points total), at least two of which are above Stage I, and covers a wide array of language options. Graduates gain language skills useful for teaching, business, the media, tourism, and further study.
