The Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB(Hons)) is an advanced undergraduate degree combining the requirements of the standard LLB with a substantial research dissertation and research seminars. The program equips students with critical legal education, advanced research and advocacy skills, and satisfies the academic criteria for admission to the NZ legal profession. Honours classification is awarded based on academic performance in advanced law papers, especially the dissertation. The degree is suitable for students who wish to undertake legal research and develop their critical thinking, and may be taken concurrently with another degree.
