The NZ Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3) at EIT offers students project- and task-based learning in core mechanical engineering areas. The programme features real-world workshop experience with local firms and focuses on developing trade skills in machining, welding, and fabrication. Graduates are equipped to start apprenticeships and can progress into advanced study or employment in the engineering trades.
What you need to know first
NCEA Level 1 with 10 credits in Numeracy (algebra, trigonometry, measurement recommended) and 10 credits in Literacy, or equivalent knowledge and skills
OR successful completion of NZ Certificate in Foundation Skills (Automotive and Engineering) [Level 2] plus alternative academic entry test
