It will take a total of 9 months

Students will be able to carry out welding, fabrication, machinery operation, and precision machining tasks to industrial standards.

Graduates will safely operate machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines for manufacturing components.

This Level 3 certificate provides practical training in welding, fabrication, fitting, precision machining, and maintenance for metalworking industries. Students gain skills using industrial machinery and tools in well-equipped workshops and learn relevant trade theory, health and safety, and workplace communication. The programme aims to prepare graduates for rewarding careers in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, enabling them to repair, improve, and adapt machinery for industry and recreational interests.
