About This Course
This two-year, full-time diploma provides practical training in mechanical engineering, covering core technical skills needed in modern industry. You'll learn through real-life projects and scenarios, including design, 3D modelling, simulation, and hands-on engineering processes such as building functional prototypes like airplanes and electric vehicles. The programme is accredited by Engineering New Zealand and is recognised under international Engineering accords. Graduates are highly sought after by industry and may progress to further engineering study or enter the workforce as technicians.

Entry Requirements
NCEA Level 2 including a minimum 10 literacy credits at Level 1 OR above (for those who achieved NCEA Level 2 before 2013)
Minimum 48 NCEA Level 2 credits in four subjects including at least 12 credits in Maths (preferably algebra, calculus, or trigonometry) OR equivalent
