The New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3) - Managed Apprentices is designed for those working in the automotive industry who want to become qualified automotive engineers. The programme covers a wide range of fundamental automotive engineering principles across workshop safety, engines, driveline, electrical and electronic systems, and more. With day release, night classes, and monthly workplace visits, learners build real-world diagnosis and repair skills, customer service competencies, and workshop management techniques. Graduates will be ready for entry-level roles in automotive sectors and can staircase towards Level 4 qualifications.
Entry Requirements
10 credits in each of literacy and numeracy at NCEA Level 1, OR ability to demonstrate suitable knowledge and skills
