Students will be able to assess various emergency scenarios to determine appropriate first aid responses.

Students will learn to administer treatment for resuscitation and choking for adults, children and infants, as well as manage bleeding, shock, fractures, sprains, and head injuries.
This two-day course equips students with skills to provide first aid in workplace emergencies, including assessment and treatment of a variety of injuries and medical emergencies. It includes unit standards on managing first aid in emergency situations, providing first aid, and basic life support. Successful completion enables students to respond effectively in emergencies, perform resuscitation, treat wounds and fractures, and use a defibrillator.
