The Certificate of Attainment in Foundation Studies is designed for students who have completed high school but have not met the academic entry requirements for university degree study in New Zealand. The programme includes compulsory English language and academic skills papers, plus electives in STEM, Business, Arts, Health, and Social Sciences. It prepares students both academically and socially for university, and guarantees entry to most University of Waikato undergraduate degrees upon successful completion. The curriculum develops subject knowledge, leadership, team skills, and fosters engagement between international and New Zealand students.
