The Master of Nursing Science at Auckland University of Technology offers graduates from any discipline the opportunity to qualify as a nurse. This two-year programme combines advanced clinical practice, research, and applied health sciences, culminating in eligibility to apply for registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Courses are delivered at South Campus in Auckland, with clinical placements occurring throughout the region. The programme covers integrative nursing practice, pathophysiology, applied pharmacotherapeutics, leadership, and health research design.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a B grade average or higher in courses at level 7 (or equivalent)
May be required to attend a selection interview
Capable of meeting the Children's Act (CA 2018) requirements, including police clearance
Admission subject to approval of the programme leader
Able to travel to clinical placements
Immunisations must be current
Current bystander CPR certification
