Incorporate Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles into professional nursing practice, reflecting the partnership, protection, and participation obligations.
Applicants must be 17 years of age or over.
For domestic applicants under 20: University Entrance as per NZQA, preferably including science or a related discipline, OR evidence of recent (within 5 years) Level 4 or higher qualification.
Applicants over 20: Demonstrated academic ability at NZQA Level 4 or equivalent, and evidence of ability to succeed through attributes, work, and life experience.
Completion of an approved foundation, bridging, or tertiary introductory health course at Level 4 with 60% or higher in all modules (applicable for both age groups).
Police vetting and declaration regarding any criminal convictions.
Current comprehensive First Aid Certificate.
Evidence of immunity as outlined by the Department of Nursing.
Declaration of physical and mental health status from a GP or Practice Nurse.
Full COVID-19 vaccination status.
Two character references from persons in positions of trust (not family/friends/work colleagues).
