Critically evaluate and apply ethical, legal, and regulatory frameworks to nursing and health care delivery.
The Master of Health Sciences (Nursing) is a full-time, two-year postgraduate programme that enables students to become registered nurses. The degree combines fully online academic coursework with in-person clinical placements and on-campus intensives, emphasizing evidence-based practice, leadership, and culturally responsive care. Graduates are eligible to apply for nursing registration in New Zealand and have opportunities for international mobility. The curriculum aligns with the Nursing Council of New Zealand’s requirements and is delivered by experienced academic and clinical educators.
What you need to know first
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline, or equivalent qualification and practical experience
Or Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (or equivalent) with at least a B GPA

Apply principles of cultural safety, the impacts of indigeneity and colonisation, and the Te Tiriti o Waitangi in nursing practice.
Police vetting and health/immunisation requirements
First Aid training (NZQA 6401 and 6402, minimum 8 hours)
