Through a joint venture with the Australian Maritime College (AMC), AUT offers New Zealand students the opportunity to study maritime engineering within the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree. The programme is unique in New Zealand, with students spending two years at AUT followed by two at AMC in Tasmania. Students can specialise in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering, and the qualification includes planned supervised work placement, exposure to advanced maritime technology, and international study experience.

Subject to Australian visa and fee requirements for study at AMC.
