About This Course
The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is tailored for individuals operating small powered craft such as RIBs, dories, and sportsboats not generally used for long or offshore passages. In two days, participants learn maritime conditions identification, vessel handling, basic seamanship, mooring, and anchoring. The course also covers recognising both personal and boat capability limits. Certification at this level is recommended for those aiming to work with commercial crafts including superyachts, charter fishing boats, thrill-ride operators, harbour patrol launches, and construction site safety boats.
