What You're Signing Up For
This NZTA and NZQA approved short course provides students with the knowledge and skills to gain their Class 4 heavy vehicle licence, covering theoretical requirements in road user law, fatigue management, and logbook recording. The course leads to credits for specific unit standards and includes both online study and in-class workshops, with access to regional support and facilities. Upon completion, students are able to apply for their Class 4 licence at a driver licensing agent.

- In-class training on road user law
- Fatigue management
- Legal requirements for logbook recording of work time
- Operation of a heavy rigid motor vehicle (Class 4)
- Unit Standard 24089: Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time and driver logbook requirements
- Unit Standard 17576: Operate a heavy rigid motor vehicle for a Class 4 driver licence
