The Master of Medical Engineering (MMedicalEng) is designed to upskill engineering graduates with advanced knowledge and expertise in medical technologies, devices, and biomechanical fields. Through a mix of theoretical and practical training, students gain skills across technical, regulatory, business, and ethical dimensions necessary for the medical device industry. The programme offers specialisations in Biomechanical Engineering and Medical Devices & Technologies, with a choice of taught pathways (120 or 180 points). Graduates are prepared for employment in Aotearoa New Zealand’s large medical device sector and internationally.
