The Bachelor of Science (Honours) at AUT is designed for students with an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics, computer science, or science who want to pursue a higher-level career or continue towards master's or doctoral qualifications. The programme features in-depth study in a specialist science topic and a supervised independent research dissertation, often with industry collaboration. Students choose advanced courses from a wide range of scientific disciplines, including but not limited to marine science, molecular genetics, food science, chemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, and applied mathematics.
