What You're Signing Up For
The Graduate Certificate in Science and Technology (GCertScTech) at Massey University allows students the opportunity to upskill, gain a new specialisation, or prepare for postgraduate study in the sciences. The programme is highly flexible, consisting of 60 credits (four courses) and can be completed in one semester full-time or part-time. Students may select from a wide range of subjects, including agribusiness, biochemistry, computer science, environmental sciences, health sciences, lighting, and more. The certificate is suitable for graduates with a prior bachelor’s degree or substantial industry experience. Courses are available on campus and via distance or online learning.
Course Content
- Flexible selection of science and technology courses (60 credits; usually four courses)
- Courses available from a range of disciplines – options from Agribusiness, Animal Science, Plant Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Food Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Health Sciences, Public Health, Engineering, Māori Resource and Environmental Management, and more
- Lighting specialisation available as an endorsement
- Option for workplace-based learning modules for those with significant industry experience
- Some courses available by distance/online learning
- Maximum of 15 credits at 200 level; at least 45 credits at 300 level or higher
