The Doctor of Professional Practice supports advanced practitioners to create and synthesise new knowledge through self-directed, work-based research. Candidates undertake significant applied research projects in their professional setting, informed by disciplinary literature and workplace needs, producing impactful contributions to professional, organisational, or community practice. The flexible programme offers distance delivery, personalised mentoring, and is suitable for leaders and experts seeking to develop, reflect, and innovate in their fields.
Course Content
- Work-based, original research projects
- Review of professional experience and learning (5,000-word paper)
- Development of Learning Agreement (15,000–20,000 words)
- Substantial practitioner research enquiry (up to 50,000-word thesis)
- Critical reflection on practice, theory, and experience
