What You're Signing Up For
The Graduate Diploma in Science (GradDipSci) at the University of Auckland is designed for students to broaden or deepen their knowledge in science by adding a second major, extending an existing science field, or exploring a new discipline. The programme consists of 120 points, with a focus on advanced (Stage III or above) science courses, and offers pathways for further postgraduate study. It is suitable for those wanting to refresh scientific knowledge, transition into new science areas, or gain the prerequisites needed for higher studies.
Course Content
- Complete 120 points (usually eight 15-point courses).
- At least 75 points (five courses) at Stage III or above from the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science (Honours) schedules.
- At least 60 points from a subject major listed in the Bachelor of Science schedule, including required Stage III courses for the major.
- Option of a project or dissertation of up to 30 points with approval.
- Customise selection from a wide array of undergraduate science disciplines.
