The New Zealand Certificate in Creativity (Level 4) is an 18-week, NZQA-approved introductory programme for aspiring musical artists. It provides immersive education in music creation, genre exploration, digital audio technology, performance, and creative processes. The course covers foundational skills essential for contributing to the music industry and community, supporting further study, and building musical confidence and capability.

Let's Go Music is for people who have always taken music seriously, even if life has not always made it easy to act on. Their fully online programmes are NZQA-accredited and taught by working musicians and industry professionals, so the learning is both flexible and genuinely credible. You get qualifications that count, from tutors who are still active in the field.

In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
Otara Music Arts Centre, Auckland
It will take a total of 18 weeks

Graduates can use conceptual frameworks and creative processes to generate, refine, and publicly perform original music.
Domestic student status
NCEA Level 1 or equivalent
Interview/audition is required with demonstration of some musical proficiency (pitch, time)
If English is not the first language: IELTS General or Academic overall band score of 5.5 (no band lower than 5) or equivalent

In-person study
Face-to-face learning in a physical classroom setting
