The New Zealand Diploma in Music (Level 5) at Toi Ohomai is designed for musicians ready to build on their existing experience and develop advanced skills in composition, performance, audio engineering, and music production. The year-long programme focusses on creative project work, live performance opportunities, and industry-relevant business skills to prepare you for the global music market. You will learn advanced audio techniques, connect with local venues and music professionals, and receive training to confidently promote your work as a professional musician.
Entry Requirements
Be at least 17 years of age AND
Music qualification (Level 4) or equivalent OR NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Māori or equivalent, and a minimum of 42 credits at Level 3 (including 10 reading and writing credits), OR evidence of ability to complete the academic requirements
