The Bachelor of Dance Studies (BDanceSt) programme at the University of Auckland develops students as performers, choreographers, dance educators, and researchers. Emphasising contemporary, cultural, and community dance, students enhance their practical and creative skills, experience regular teaching and performance opportunities, and build professional networks in a supportive, family-oriented environment. The degree covers dance vocabulary, history, education, choreography, safe practice, technology, business skills, and leadership across three years. Graduates progress to roles in the dance industry or on to postgraduate study.
