The Master of Human Rights at AUT is an innovative program tailored for aspiring human rights professionals from diverse backgrounds, including business, law, social sciences, and emergency services. Students gain skills in advocacy, treaty body reporting, human rights campaigning, media strategies, investigation methods, and policy development. Delivered through block courses by international experts, the program culminates in an applied research project or dissertation on a pressing rights issue. Graduates go on to roles in government, NGOs, policy agencies, and human rights institutions in New Zealand and internationally.
