The Master of International Development (MIntDev) at Massey University is a postgraduate programme designed for students from diverse academic, cultural, and professional backgrounds. The qualification provides in-depth understanding of how global economic, social, political, and environmental forces affect people and shape nations. Students learn to recognise inequalities, design strategies to overcome poverty, and enhance human wellbeing. It will take a total of 18 months
Assess contemporary international development theories, policies, and strategies using critical and rigorous evaluation techniques.

Design and undertake research in international development, collect relevant data, and articulate findings in persuasive written form.
Bachelor of Arts with a major in Development Studies (or equivalent), minimum B average in 200 and 300-level major courses OR
Bachelor’s degree with a B average in relevant courses plus appropriate field or industry experience OR
Postgraduate Diploma in International Development (or equivalent) with a B average
If Research Pathway, submission of research proposal required
English language proficiency meeting Massey University standards
