The Master of International Security is a multidisciplinary qualification drawing from fields such as strategic studies, international relations, military studies, political science, and human geography. It prepares you for senior roles in the security sector by building your understanding of security principles, management, and policy within domestic, regional, and global contexts. You’ll gain analytical, communication, and research skills essential to security contexts and undertake independent research in your specialised area of interest. Specialisations are available in Border and Biosecurity, Counter-Terrorism, and Intelligence; or you can complete the degree without specialisation. Careers and jobs span government security, policy, defence, policing, risk, and border security, among others.

Completed Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in International Security with at least B- average, OR
Demonstrated scholarly work and extensive relevant professional experience (leadership, managerial/planning roles in security sector)
