Designed for those wishing to begin or progress a career in planning, it covers critical aspects including Māori planning, policy analysis, planning law, urban development, GIS, natural hazards, and more. The qualification can be completed in six months full-time or part-time by distance, and serves as a pathway to the Postgraduate Diploma in Planning or Master of Resource and Environmental Planning. Graduates may work in consulting, government, or non-governmental agencies as planning professionals.

Utilise analytical techniques in policy evaluation, including impact assessment, forecasting, and the use of performance indicators.
Copies of all official academic transcripts for studies taken at institutions other than Massey University.
If English is not your first language and your qualification was not taught in English, an IELTS score of at least 7.0 (no band less than 6.0) within the last 5 years.
